.. _manual-upload-google-cloud-console_collect: ================================================ Manual Upload Files via Google Cloud Console ================================================ For this ‘How to’ guide we will learn how to manually upload a file to AgileData using the Google Cloud Console web interface. This is a great way to manually upload large files into AgileData. You can upload CSV, XLS and JSON formated files using this capability. You can also manually upload small files using the file upload in the AgileData app <<>> as well as automating the uploading of files using the automated upload capability <<>> There are two ways you can get to the relevant upload screen. * Access it directly from the the AgileData App * Access it by navigating the Google Cloud Console. Navigate via the AgileData App ========================================== Login to your Agiledata App via your web browser. Navigate to Upload Files ---------------------------- In the AgileData App menu to go: Manage > Upload Files If your file is less than 20mb in size you can use this screen to upload the file. You can either use the 'UPLOAD FILES' option, which will open a pop up screen to let you select a file stored on your device (desktop, laptop etc). Or you can drag and drop the file from your device into the area on the screen that has files listed. Once you have uploaded or dropped your file, a small window will appear at the bottom right of the screen showing you the upload progress. Review Notifications in AgileData Appp -------------------------------------------------------- Once the Google Cloud Console screen has confirmed the file has been uploaded successfully, head on over to the AgileData App and review the Notifications List. It will confirm the data in the file has been collected into AgileData and the relevant rules have been triggered as a result of the new data. Navigate via the Google Cloud Console ========================================== First open a web browser and navigate to the Google Cloud Console. https://console.cloud.google.com/ You may be asked to login. If you are requested to login, do so with the same Google Account details you use to login to the AgileData App. Navigate to your Project --------------------------------------- Click on the dropbdown on the right of the Google Cloud logo at the top left of the screen. This will show you a list of the Google Cloud Projects you have been granted access to. AgileData uses Google Cloud to power our infrastructure and by default we configure three Google Cloud Projects for each AgileData Tenancy. You will need to select the Project that has the same name as your AgileData App followed by '-e'. For example 'kapiti-e' Navigate to your filedrop bucket --------------------------------------- Once you have selected the relevant project, click on the hamburger menu on the left of the Google Cloud logo at the top left of the screen. Scroll down the menu options until you find 'Cloud Storage'. Hover your mouse over Cloud Storage and a menu will expand to the right with some more options. Click on the 'Buckets' option. You will be presented with a list of buckets. Click on the bucket which name starts with 'filedrop'.
