AgileData.io - Stay Connected: MCP Sessions Now Survive Server Restarts

AI agents connecting to AgileData via the Model Context Protocol no longer lose their sessions when the server restarts. We've introduced an event store that caches MCP sessions between restarts, meaning your AI agent connections remain active and authenticated through routine maintenance and deployments.

Previously, any server restart—whether for a deployment, a security patch, or routine maintenance—would terminate all active MCP connections, forcing AI tools like Claude Desktop to re-authenticate and re-establish their sessions. This was disruptive, especially during active workflows.

With session persistence in place, the MCP server can resume where it left off, keeping your AI agent integrations stable and uninterrupted.

**What's New:**

* Event store added to cache MCP sessions between server restarts
* Improved 400/410 error handling so clients know when to request a fresh connection
* Sessions are preserved through routine deployments and maintenance windows
