Problem¶

When in the Rule Step screen for a rule, the rule versions widget displayed the date that version of the rule was created, not the date the rule was replaced by a later version.

This made it difficult to determine which rule was executing on a specific date.

Solution¶

Change the rule version widget to display the date the rule was replaced with a later version.

Also change it to show the UTC timestamp in the local timezone of the users browser.

Leverage the Magic¶

The version widget now shows the date that rule version was replaced.

Now the rule version shows the date it was archived.

Customer¶

Bingo!

I can now easily work out what rule version was being executed at a certain date in the past.
