2024-11-22 - People API - User Avatars¶
Problem¶
In late 2023 the user avatars stopped appearing in the app due to a google api bug
Solution¶
This bug was resolved at source last month and avatars started appearing again. We ran a house keeping script to update all new user avatars that weren’t picked up in the period the api was not returning avatars
Leverage the Magic¶
The api layer takes care of all our front end interactions, but also includes a number of house keeping functions to get our config updated and consistent
