Problem¶

When exporting all rules, the YAML file had the rules in the order they were last touched. This made it difficult to edit the YAML file to retain a specific set related rules.

Solution¶

Sorted the rules by name before being exported into the YAML file.

Leverage the Magic¶

No action required, the sorting is done automagically as part of the export rule process. Rules > All Rules > … > Export All Rules

Another quick feature to make tasks less complex. We have backlogged a feature to use Topic Tags to filter the rules that will be exported to make it even easier in the future.

Customer¶

Yay!

Now I can easily remove the rules I don’t want from the YAML file before importing them again.
