2026-04-28 - ADI Errors from Premature Gemini API Calls Fixed¶
Release¶
AgileData.io - Steadier AI Responses: ADI No Longer Errors on Startup
ADI, the AgileData intelligent assistant, was occasionally producing errors when answering questions immediately after startup. This has been fixed — ADI now reliably responds from the moment you start using it.
The root cause was a timing issue: in some situations, Gemini API calls were being made before the Gemini client had fully finished initialising. This race condition produced errors that appeared random because they only occurred during a brief window at startup. The fix ensures the client is fully ready before any calls are made.
What was happening:
Gemini API calls could fire before the Gemini client finished initialising
This produced ADI errors that appeared inconsistent or hard to reproduce
Errors were most likely when interacting with ADI immediately after a server start or deployment
What this means for you:
ADI responds reliably from the moment you start a session
No more confusing errors when asking ADI questions right after the platform starts
More consistent AI assistant experience across all usage patterns
