AgileData.io - Faster on Its Feet: API Startup Time Reduced by 15 Seconds
We’ve significantly reduced the time it takes for the AgileData API to start up by implementing lazy loading for the slowest libraries—FastMCP and Vertex AI. Instead of loading these heavyweight dependencies at startup, the API now loads them only when they’re first needed.
This change reduces API startup time by approximately 15 seconds, which directly translates to faster recovery after deployments and more responsive scaling when the platform needs to spin up new instances under load.
