For security, AgileData sessions expire after a period of time and need to be renewed. The way renewal worked had several problems. Browsers often blocked the renewal pop-up, so the “session expired” screen appeared even for active users. When renewal did succeed, the app sometimes didn’t notice and showed the expired screen anyway. If sign-in took longer than expected, the page reloaded and you lost what you were working on.
Session renewal has been rebuilt. When your session needs renewing, a Continue session prompt appears. Clicking it renews your session in a small pop-up while your page stays exactly as it was. If renewal doesn’t finish, for example because you’re still entering your password, the prompt stays up. You can retry, or choose Reload page yourself. The page never reloads automatically.
What was happening:
Renewal pop-ups blocked by the browser, causing immediate timeouts
Successful renewals not recognised, so the expired screen still appeared
Automatic page reloads that discarded unsaved work
The Catalog showing an error after a session was renewed
What this means for you:
Your work and page state are kept when your session renews
A clear prompt and a manual reload option, so you never get stuck
The Catalog loads correctly after renewal
