2026-07-31 - Ensemble Config Effective Date Fix

Release

AgileData.io - Correct Dates, Correct Data: Ensemble Config Now Uses the Driving Concept’s Effective Date

When loading an ensemble configuration — a pattern that combines data from multiple sources into a unified view — the effective date used for loading must come from the driving concept, the primary source that governs the timeline of the ensemble. A bug was allowing other sources’ effective dates to influence the load, which could cause incorrect or inconsistent data to be included in the ensemble output.

The fix enforces that the ensemble config exclusively uses the driving concept’s effective date for all loading decisions, regardless of what effective dates are present on secondary sources.

What was happening:

  • Ensemble config loading could use an effective date from a non-driving concept source

  • This caused incorrect data snapshots to be included when loading ensemble configurations

What this means for you:

  • Ensemble configurations load the correct time-consistent snapshot of your data

  • The driving concept’s timeline governs the ensemble, as intended
