What was happening:
Two related issues were causing the background housekeeping script to fail intermittently. The first was an error in the user statistics update logic, and the second was a crash when the script encountered catalog entries with an empty user_payload field. These failures were affecting the accuracy of usage statistics visible in the platform.
What was fixed:
User statistics update logic in the housekeeping script corrected
Script now handles empty user_payload fields gracefully without crashing
Catalog statistics update reliably for all entries, including those with minimal data
